Leonard L. Hill

Retired Electrician Local I.B.E.W.​Korean War Army Veteran​Age 89, of Roseville. Len passed away on April 25, 2018 after a very brief illness with mesothelioma.  Everyday Len faithfully served God and walked a modest path. Len loved life and we were truly blessed by his kindness, extremely agreeable, non-complaining, adventuresome, and hard working nature. He was a notorious story teller, master decoy carver, and he had super-human Mr. Fixit abilities. He leaves a big hole in all our hearts.  Len was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Gerane; son, John; daughter, Susan Hill Shaw.  He will be deeply missed by his sons, Mark (Val) & Keith (Kathy); son-in-law, John Shaw; daughter-in-law, Mary Hill; his grandchildren, Lisa (Troy) Lovestrand, Jeffrey (Katy), John (Sarah), Mike (Erin), Samantha (Dale Lundgren), Jenny (Ryan Herbenson), Katie Shaw, Jackie (Sam) Thesing, David (Allison) Shaw; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Our fondest memories spent with our Dad/Grandpa include summers at the cabin, endless food & fun, fishing, hunting, camping in the boundary waters & the love we felt when we were together. We especially want to thank God for blessing us with a wonderful, loving, caring father, for blessing Len with great friends & their deep-lasting friendships, and for the Pulkrabek family, embracing him as their son & brother.  As Len experiences fullness of joy in the presence and praise of Christ, may we join Len and the whole heavenly host in praising Jesus Christ Our Lord.​Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, April 28 at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1390 Larpentuer Ave. E., St. Paul. Visitation at the church from 10-11 AM Saturday. Private interment Roselawn Cemetery.
