Lillian P. Holly

Our sweet, smart, and classy mom left us on May 28, 2022 after a brief illness and 98 wonderful years. Lil was actively involved in the lives of her husband, children, church, and friends. Lil worked at MEA Credit Union for years as a savings consultant and loved helping people manage their money. She also managed our family money, teaching us how to stretch every dollar. In her spare time mom was passionate about cooking, baking, and sewing. We were the recipients of every delicious meal she prepared. Mom was at her sewing machine every day until the end.  Our mom taught us to appreciate our God-given gifts, to study and work hard, have respect for ourselves and others, and to be honest. Our mom and dad were married for over 63 years before dad's death in 2007. Mom treasured every visit from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lil was a joy to all who knew her. Be at peace mom and enjoy reuniting with family and friends in heaven.  Lil was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; siblings; cousins; and many, many friends.  Survived by children, Marilyn "Molly" (Bob) O'Dea, Donald Holly Jr., Gregory (Wendy) Holly, Jane (Jeff) Dagen; grandchildren, Holly Rieger, Heather Grudt, and Owen, Greta, & Henry Holly; great-grandchildren, Matthew & Charlie Rieger and Avery & Jonathan Grudt; and many nieces and nephews.  Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, June 30 at ST. CASIMIR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 929 Jessamine Ave E., St. Paul. Visitation from 10-11 AM AT THE CHURCH.  Masks are optional.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care.
