Lori was born at home on a family dairy farm in Stanley, Wisconsin, on September 19, 1939. She was the youngest of 6 children. She grew up on the farm and after high school, she headed to the Twin Cities where she got a job at Brown & Bigelow. That’s where she met the love of her life, Jerry. They married in February, 1961, and were married for 30 years until his untimely death. Together they raised 3 children. She was a stay-at-home mom devoting her life to her husband and children. In her early 50’s she went back to work outside the home at Lyngblomsten, where she retired 20 years later.
Lori was a kind-hearted and gentle soul. She was an amazing, devoted and loving mother, a loving mother-in-law, a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family, all animals, cooking (a wonderful cook), baking, entertaining, dancing to polkas and waltzes, trips to the casino, trips to Vegas, Loughlin and Montana, the Minnesota State Fair, her house on Agate Street and her many neighbors. She loved St. Jerome’s Catholic Church where she was a member for many years. She loved praying the Rosary and being a member of the Servite Group - Confraternity of Our Lady of Sorrows.
She touched many lives with her beautiful blue eyes and smile. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished forever. The world was a better place with her in it.
