Lynda D. Banta

 Lynda Diane Banta, age 62, of Lino Lakes, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece and friend. 

Lynda was an administrative assistant at various corporations. She enjoyed photography, singing, musicals, butterflies, Elvis, various arts and crafts, music festivals, and spending time with her family and friends. She was actively involved in church and teasing people with a playful nature. To everyone who’d listen, she was a social butterfly. 

Lynda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mildred (Everett) Glockzin and George (Mary) Strecker; father, Niel Banta; brother, Bruce, and multiple cousins. 

Survived by mother, Barbara Banta; sister, Brenda (Daniel) Merrill; children, Ashlie (Dane) Dewall and Tim Sundstrom (Jessica Enger); granddaughter, Isabelle Sundstrom; nieces and nephews, Rebekah (Bradley) Pridgeon, Julia Merrill (Raelynn Turner), Josh Merrill, Meagan Banta; aunts and uncles, Harvey (Kathy) Strecker, Lori Wegner, Nancy (John) Nipp; multiple cousins and cat, Scar. 

Funeral service 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24 at Grace Church of Forest Lake, 432 11th Ave SE, Forest Lake. Interment Wyoming United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 PM Friday at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr. (County Hwy 23) and from 10-11 AM Saturday at the church.
