Margaret Arlene Knott

February 4, 1925 — July 10, 2020

Roseville

née Scherer Age 95, of Roseville; died peacefully in her sleep after visiting with her beloved daughters. Preceded in death by husband, John; parents, Jesse & Marie Scherer; and brothers, Theodore and Eugene Scherer. Survived by daughters, Diane, Kathy (Bob) Zingsheim, and Mary Jo (Rich) Kukacka; grandsons, John, Thomas, Steven, Kevin, and Jason (Dani); and many other family, friends, and neighbors. Arlene met her future husband, John, while working at the Koppy Motors Studebaker dealership as a secretary, and John as a mechanic. They had been married for 55 years when John passed in 2009. They enjoyed their life together, taking many fishing trips up north, motor trips across the country, and visits to Las Vegas. Education was important to Arlene; she always visited museums and other notable sights on their trips. She went back to work when her children were grown, doing secretarial work until her retirement from Bro-Tex in St. Paul at age 64. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 22 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 N Dale St, St. Paul, with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.   Arlene’s family wishes to thank Kim & Warren Rottman for their loving care of her in her final weeks, as well as the staff at Our Lady of Peace Hospice.
