Marilyn Margaret Anderson

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister, Dear Friend & Teacher​(nee Gunzel) age 70, of Maplewood, passed on to Heaven, surrounded by her family, on March 10, 2021.  Born to Stuart & Margaret (Leir) Gunzel on September 1, 1950 on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.  She spent most of her youth in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, graduating from Briercrest Christian Academy in 1968 before receiving her elementary education degree from the University of Regina. She moved to St. Paul and spent many years teaching at Faith Baptist Christian School, a year in Taiwan and several years at Maple Tree Preschool. She married her husband, Don, on June 12, 1981 in St. Paul.  Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dave & Jim.  She is survived by husband, Don; children, Cherra & Caleb (Rachel); grandchildren, Harmony, Graham & Ole; sisters, Carol Gunzel & Joy (Chuck) Davis; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial service 5 PM Friday, March 19 at AMBASSADOR BAPTIST CHURCH, 3720 Lexington Ave. N., Shoreview. Visitation at the church from 3:30-5:00 PM Friday 3/19.  Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Metro Women's Center.
