Age 92, of Little Canada, passed away May 31, 2018.​Preceded in death by parents, Edwin & Minnie Lee; sisters, Eileen Jewett, Wilma Christensen; brothers, Louis, Erwin, Milo "Mike", Robert, Raymond & Vernon Lee.​ Survived by his wife, Peggy (nee Donaghy); children, Brian, Gary (Anne), Diane (Bruce) Johnson; grandchildren, McKenzie, Aubrey, Stephanie & Christy Lee and Adam & Melissa Johnson; and many nieces & nephews.  Marvin was born on August 25, 1925 in Flandreau, SD. After graduating from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Marvin served in the U.S. Navy as an Ensign from July 1943-July 1946. He was honorably discharged from active duty and was awarded the Victory Ribbon World War II and the American Theater Ribbon. He continued serving in the Navy reserves achieving  the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade before retiring from service in 1959.​After his active Navy service, he moved back closer to home to enroll at the University of Minnesota, earning a Master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1948. He was employed at a private engineering firm in Duluth, MN before moving on to Oliver Mining in Eveleth, MN; 3M in St. Paul; and finally retiring from the Minnesota Department of Health in 1990 after 20 years of employment.​Marvin met his wife, Peggy, in Duluth. They were married for 62 years. Marvin enjoyed spending time at the cabin he built in northern Minnesota; as well as spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel and adventured throughout the United States and around the world, visiting 20 countries with his wife.​He was active in Kiwanis (North Suburban Golden K of St. Paul, MN) for many years until his Alzheimer's diagnosis.​There will be a brief visitation at Skroch Funeral Chapel, 409 E. 2nd Avenue, Flandreau, SD 57028 on Saturday, June 9 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Flandreau, SD.​Memorial service: 2:00 PM Friday, June 15 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2561 N. Victoria St., Roseville.​Memorials preferred to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
