Mary G. Engebretson

Age 94 of Roseville Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Sister​Preceded in death by husband, John. Survived by five daughters, Susan Engebretson, Mary (Dave) Gontarek, Carol (James) Byrne, Margaret (Tom) Stadnik and Katherine (Nordine) Cheikh, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, dear sister, Joanne Sletten and sister-in-law, Betty Engebretson.  Mary was born in St. James, Minnesota on July 23, 1923. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Dietetics and had a rich professional career including 20 years at United Hospital in St. Paul.  She was a strong independent woman, of generous spirit, forever curious about the world and  welcoming to all she met. She was a great role model who led by example and was an inspiration to all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 7 at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, 3115 N. Victoria St, Roseville.  Visitation 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection or Global Minnesota.  Mary will be dearly missed and loved forever.
