Maxine Flynn

(nee Schwietz) Age 94, of St. PaulPassed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 30, 2018​Preceded in death by husband, Robert Patrick; brothers, Dan, Bob, John, Joe, Jim, Norman, and Mark; and sister, Rita Melcoch. Survived by children, Mary Kay (Skip) VonDeLinde, Patrick (Nanette), Colleen (Bill) Dalrymple, and Carol (Clint) Nelson; brother, David; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.​She was active to the end, playing cards, bingo, family outings, and dining with friends. Maxine worked as a cashier at Sears for more than 20 years.  Upon retirement, she volunteered at Maternity of Mary Church. Widowed at 55, Maxine traveled extensively with friends and family. She enjoyed casino outings as well as senior activities at church. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed hosting family pool parties at her condo. Her lively spirit and enthusiasm will be remembered by her family and friends.​Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 14 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday, August 13 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME - ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B, and at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Tuesday.  Interment Calvary Cemetery.​In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
