Michael J. Burke

Age 65, of Lino Lakes. Died peacefully on August 26, 2018.  Preceded in death by parents, Arthur & Ruth; brother, Thomas; brothers-in-law, Peter Gardner & Bud Lartch; and nephew, Paul Gardner.  Survived by loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Jennifer (Justin) Mishler, Michelle Burke (fiance’ Tosh Gillman) and Amy Burke; grandson, Anders Gillman; siblings, James (Idabelle), Stephen (MaryEllen), William (Ann), CharlaMarie Gardner and Lois Lartch; friend Belinda Stifter as well as many nieces and nephews.  Mike is a retired Deputy from Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department and worked part time for the State Fair Police Department. He also proudly served his country and was a retired MP Instructor from the Army National Guard.  In addition to his family, Mike had two passions. He was the ultimate hockey fan and loved nothing better than to be between the pipes and tending the goal like only he could. If you have a hockey jersey you are encouraged to wear it to the visitation! Mike also loved scuba diving in Roatan, where he achieved his Dive Master certification.  Memorial visitation from 4-8 PM, Wednesday, September 5 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME - LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Dr. (Cty Hwy 23). Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or USA Hockey Foundation (Ron DeGregorio Goaltending Excellence Fund).
