Beloved and cherished, Nathan Alan Hancock of Spearfish, SD passed away suddenly at the age of 43 on June 16th, 2018. Born and raised in Bemidji, MN – this man of exceptional character graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota, Moorhead. He married Cassandra Fairbanks in 1995, and together they had three beautiful and talented children, Alexandra (23), Ella (14), and Jackson (10). Nathan lived his life to the fullest, and met each day with a passion and intensity few can match. This is proven by his success in being a fantastic husband, father, son, brother, and family man, his career, political involvements, and in each new challenge he took on. One of his greatest passions was coaching his three children in basketball, lacrosse, and hockey – throughout a total of 15 years. Smart, confident, and steady – Nathan helped all those around him rise to their potential, by expecting the best from each individual, and the lessons he helped instill in those he met will never be forgotten. Through his example, may we all live with an amplified zest for life, adventure, and pursuit of the perfect golf game. Nathan is survived by his wife, Cassandra, his children, Alexandra, Ella, and Jackson. His parents, Dave and Pat Hancock, brother, Jason (Stacy) Hancock, niece and nephew, Emma and Drew Hancock.
