Nellie Caroline Sponheim

Age 88, died March 17, 2020.  Preceded in death by son, Mark WIlliam; parents, Roy & Clara Hanson; siblings, Lillian Kuhn, Edna Carlson, Ivan Hanson & Louise Rostad.  Survived by husband, Paul; sons, Rolf (Judi Cole), Scott (Sarah Lang); grandchildren, Tom & Joseph (Mark & Valerie), Caleb, Emmett & Aidan (Scott & Sarah), Katrina, Rikke & Trygg (Rolf & Judi); and brother, Robert C. (Jane) Hanson.  Graduated in 1949 from Pelican Rapids High School and in 1953 from Concordia College, Moorhead. Graduate study in Learning Disabilities at the University of Minnesota. Taught in public schools in Circle Pines, Roseville and Richland, WA.  Memorials preferred to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Luther Seminary of St. Paul or Lutheran Social Service.​A virtual memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 AM, hosted by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church via Zoom.
