Niel A. Banta

Age 78 of Lino Lakes

Preceded in death by son, Bruce A. Banta; parents, J. Edmond Banta and Mildred (Clemons Banta) Glockzin, and brother, James E. Banta.

Survived by wife of 59 years, Barbara E. (nee Strecker); daughters, Brenda (Dan) Merrill and Lynda Banta; daughter-in-law, Maritza Zayas-Banta; grandchildren, Rebekah (Bradley), Ashlie (Dane), Timothy, Kurt, Julia, Joshua and Meagan; and great-granddaughter, Isabelle. Also survived by sister-in-law, Carolyne Banta and sisters, Carolyn (Al) Quijada and Mary Banta. 

Niel was employed by Glenn Rehbein Excavating and Landscaping, Inc., for 38 years. He worked his way up the ladder to Chief Estimator/Vice-President. 

Funeral service 11 AM Monday, November 19 at NEW BRIGHTON CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 1500 29th Ave NW, New Brighton.  Interment Wyoming Methodist Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 PM Sunday, November 18 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Dr (Co Hwy 23) and from 10-11 AM Monday at the church.
