Norma Jeanne Black

Falcon Heights

Age 93, formerly of Falcon Heights. Passed away peacefully on February 6, 2022, at The Legacy of St. Anthony.  Norma was born on June 25, 1928, in Bloomington, Illinois to Fred and Jeanne Thommen. She moved to St. Paul in 1946 to work for State Farm Insurance, and married William Black in 1951. She had three children and was so active in their school that a tree was planted in her honor. Norma was widowed in 1979 and, in 1987, married her high school sweetheart, Warren "Otts" Salzman. Norma particularly loved the twenty years she spent at Cardinal Pointe in Maplewood.  She is survived by children, David (Lynnette), Sue (Sankar) Narayan, and Mike; grandchildren, Dan (Grace), Angela (Joe Mortensen) Narayan, Joshua, Greg Narayan, Jonathan, Nathanael, and Steve; and five great-grandchildren.  Thank you to The Legacy of St. Anthony and Kindred Hospice.  Memorial service 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 6 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1465 N Victoria Street.
