Orville Melvin Bakke

Age 95, of Minneapolis, passed away on April 19, 2023.

Preceded in death by parents, Erling & Ragnhild (née Sundby) Bakke; and brother, Edwin (Phyllis) Bakke.

Orville was a graduate of Minneapolis South High School, Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota. He worked as a landscape architect in Chicago and a landscape designer for The Park Nursery in St. Paul and Bachman's in Minneapolis.

He was an avid dog lover and horticulture enthusiast.

Orville served in the Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service.

Graveside service 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. So., Minneapolis. (Please arrive by 10:45 AM at Assembly Area #6.)
