We would like to thank Barb, Nurse Jess, Sheri, and all of the Our Lady of Peace hospice workers who helped to take care of mom.

Pat, Patsy, Patty grew up in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. She went to a one room schoolhouse in Lake Elmo, St. Agnes High School, and graduated from St Kate's nursing program. She was a nurse at St Joseph’s hospital and at Macalester College Health Service, where she eventually retired.

She was strong in her faith and passed that on to her children. She did such a good job that her son became a Deacon, and her grandson, a Priest.

Family dinners were important to her, along with entertaining (we know because she had full sets of dishes for every occasion). She loved to host family dinners, card club parties, poker parties, ice cream with the cousins, and any other event that she could think of. She loved to bake. Some of her specialties were caramel rolls, coffee cake, and chocolate sauce. She loved to share her baked goods with special neighbors and friends. The kids know because they had to deliver the goods.

She was a member of countless card clubs (500, Poker, Bridge), and taught all of her kids and grandkids to play cards before they could read. She especially enjoyed her Card Club group (with her high school classmates), which lasted for over 70 years. She looked forward to seeing all her cousins at the Schiltgen Family Reunion luncheon every year. Some memories she always talked about were outings with her Daddy and sister Barb, growing up on the farm, her love of cows, sharing stories, and her love of sports, especially the Minnesota teams.

She was funny, caring and a loving person to all who knew her. She received that same care and love from her family, exercise Barb, and the Our Lady of Peace hospice workers. Mom will be sadly missed by all.
