Survived by children, Pam Goff (Bill), Steve, Jeff (Amber), Tim (Cindy Mitchell), Randy (Dawn), 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Geri (Norm), and brothers, Quent (Mary) and Kenny (Dona), extended family, and friends. Patricia “Patsy” was born on March 15, 1938, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Kenneth and Lillian Neubauer. Patsy was the second of four children and lost her father at a young age. She attended Presentation of Mary Catholic School and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1956. In her yearbook she declared her ambition was “to rear a large family.” After graduating, Patsy worked for the telephone company for 3 years. Patsy met and later married Elmer Gelking in 1959. They went on to raise six children together: Pamela, Steven, Jeffrey, Timothy, Jaqueline, and Randal in Roseville, Minnesota, where they lived for over 40 years. During that time, Patsy was a devoted homemaker and later went on to work at White House and Good Samaritan nursing homes as a housekeeper for many years. After retirement, Patsy and Elmer built a home and moved to Harris, Minnesota. There, they lived for thirteen years until Elmer’s passing. Patsy remained in Harris for another two years until moving to The Waters, in White Bear Lake, where she lived for three years. Patsy will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family including her 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors on Sherren Street, vacationing with extended family, attending Maternity of Mary and St. Gregory Churches, being outdoors gardening and birdwatching, watching the Twins, monitoring her police scanner, doing puzzles, decorating for the holidays, and playing with her pets. Afraid of storms, she always watched the weather on the news before bed. Patsy insisted on having a freezer full of food for her family and grandkids and loved a big family Sunday meal together. After declining health in the last year, Patsy passed away at home on August 24, 2020.
