Patrick James O’Connor, age 76 of Lino Lakes, Minnesota passed away on January 18, 2022. For three years Pat struggled with prostate cancer and brain cancer.Patrick was born on October 16, 1945, to Patrick James and Darline Anita (Hocking) O’Connor in Green Bay, Wisconsin.Pat attended St. Phillips Grade School and graduated in 1963 from Preble High School in Green Bay. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1972 as an Electronics Technician and obtained the rank of Petty Officer First Class (E-6). He graduated from Charter Oak State College, New Britain, Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree. Pat was a Manufacturing and Quality Engineer in the military and was in the consumer electronics and medical device industry for over forty years.Pat enjoyed books, history, libraries, music, photography, politics, travel and of course his beloved Green Bay Packers.Patrick and Mick (Dorothy) Mikolai were partners for 21 years. Together they created a home in Lino Lakes and shared many of the same interests. Sight Seeing Saturdays were a regular occurrence to discover whatever Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding areas had to offer. Often this would include cultural, historical, and music venues. Their road trips were always an adventure, to almost all fifty states and Canada. International travel became a particular interest of late.Patrick is survived by his partner, Mick Mikolai of Lino Lakes; mother, Darline O’Connor of Green Bay; brothers, Timothy O’Connor of Green Bay and Dan O’Connor (Denise) of Baraboo, WI; and his sister, Erin O’Connor of Green Bay. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Patrick James O’Connor; his sister, Colleen Wenk; paternal grandparents, Charles and Elaine O’Connor; and his maternal grandparents, Darrel and Gladys Hocking.Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
