Philip E. Johnson

Age 85 of Circle Pines, passed away on October 27, 2020.  Phil was born and raised in New Haven, West Virginia. He was a true “Mountaineer” whose heart never left his family home.  In 1960, he moved to Circle Pines and Lexington. He became a true Minnesotan, a lover of all the seasons, from gardening in summer to shoveling snow in winter. Phil lived life to the fullest and did not like to sit still for long. Along with gardening and shoveling he could be found playing anything from tennis to pickle ball, basketball to horseshoes.  He loved his family and supported them in all of their endeavors. Most importantly, he deeply loved Sandra Kay, his wife of 60+ years. He will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry & Rena Johnson; siblings, Mae, James, Anna, Dorothy, P.D., Ada, Thelma & Mary.  He is survived by wife, Sandra; children, Randy, Becky (Dave) Arney, Mike (Rebecca), Deb; grandchildren, Zach, Kayla, Austin & Amanda, and many loving nieces and nephews.​A celebration of Philip's life will be held Spring / Summer 2021.
