Survived by wife, Suzan (nee Atwater); children, David Johnson, Daniel Johnson (Tara), and Angela Millican (Connor); grandchildren, Gwendolyn JohnsonPreceded in death by wife, Jeanette (nee Mueller); parents, Karl Kaufmann and Margaret (nee Sherman)Randy was loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.Randy was a human being of the most generous spirit. He gave of himself freely for the things he truly believed in. He served on the Board of Beacon Haven, the Executive Board of the Charles W Ferris Association, one of the Boards of the St Paul Chamber Orchestra and several Christian Science Church Boards. He volunteered in the Christian Science Reading Rooms for many churches; he was active in the St Paul Chamber of Commerce; and was active with Habitat for Humanity. He was an entrepreneur at heart – he started many businesses in his lifetime. Photography, marketing and media arts were his specialty. When circumstances drove him to the corporate life, he adapted in typical Randy style and made a great difference to all those he worked with. The last seven years of his life, Randy was a Christian Science Practitioner being Journal Listed in 2013. He truly enjoyed this endeavor, never seeing it as work only his doing God’s work.Randy loved, loved his family!!!! Nothing was more important to him. In laws, out laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles…..everyone was so important. He attended all of the major family events of Pumpkins, Easter Eggs, family reunions, Cousin Trips and cookie baking. At those events, he was always taking pictures – a passion that stayed true thru all the years.Randy and his zest for life will be missed greatly.A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 17 at UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST-NEW BRIGHTON, 1000 Long Lake Road, New Brighton. Visitation from 1-2 PM Friday, May 17 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Beacon Haven would be much appreciated.
