Richard John “Dick” Houck, age 94, passed away on October 5, 2024. 

Preceded in death by parents, Leo and Clara (neé Lux); wife, Mary Ann (neé Koller). 

Survived by sons, Thomas (Terri), Paul (Mary); daughter, Ann Maria (Scott) Nelson; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

Dick was a graduate of St. Rose of Lima grade school, active charter member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, originator of parish Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, graduate of Cretin High School class of ’47, St. Thomas College class of ’51, Korean Army Veteran, two-year president of Catholic Defense League, and retired as president and owner of Houck Motor Coach Advertising. Dick loved his family, friends, and Church. He spent many hours in the beloved Adoration Chapel. 

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, October 10 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 North Dale Street, St. Paul. Visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday at the church. Private interment Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Maternity of Mary Parish or Dominican Sisters of Mary, 4797 Warren Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
