Bob lived a full life surrounded by many family and friends. Growing up in Western Minnesota, he developed a strong work ethic from working the family farm for many years. Starting his education in a one room schoolhouse, he gained an appreciation for teaching that would later be the basis of his career. He also enjoyed playing baseball and being active in the local 4H club. Sundays were spent attending West Zion Lutheran Church and also creating memories with other members of the Norwegian community in the area. After graduating from Concordia College, he married Linda, on June 18th, 1966 and enjoyed 57 years of wonderful marriage. During his 35 years of teaching (25 years in Forest Lake) and being an Assistant principal, Bob was well respected and will be warmly remembered by his students and all that worked with him. He was also strong in his faith and enjoyed being involved with his church. Bob will be fondly remembered for his smile, his caring nature, and the love he had for his family.
