Robert D. Olson

Age 92 of St. Paul, departed peacefully surrounded by family on November 21, 2017.​He was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Ingeborg; sister Astrid (Magner) Gunderson; and brothers Sigfred (Viola), William (Ruth), and Kenneth (Virginia).​He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Shirley; their children, Curt (Karen) and Holly; grandkids Brenda (Jake) Sorem and Eric; many nieces and nephews; and five great-grandkids.​He served in the Military Intelligence Division of the War Department during WWII, worked at Brown & Bigelow for many years, and retired from a rewarding career at Quality Park Products in 1990.​A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 8, at the Lyngblomsten Care Center, 1415 Almond Avenue in St. Paul. Private interment Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation at Lyngblomsten on Friday 12/8 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.​In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Loaves & Fishes, 1121 Jackson Street NE, Suite 143, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
