Age 73, of White Bear Lake.Died unexpectedly October 2, 2022. Preceded in death by his wife, Jane (née Wazlawik); sister, Joanne Van Sickle; and parents, Norman and Annette (née Ekblad). Survived by nephews, Gary Van Sickle (Noelle) and Greg Van Sickle; great nieces, Grace and Valerie; and many cousins and extended family. He grew up in St. Paul, and after graduating High School in 1967, attended college in Ely for forestry studies, then later trade school for sheet metal work. As a life-long member of Sheet Metal Local 10, he worked for a variety of mechanical contractors throughout the Twin Cities. The avid sportsman, he enjoyed time at his cabin, and trips out west for elk and prairie dog hunting. He loved sharing a wide range of stories of his experiences and life events. He had a great way of making even the most mundane of subjects interesting.He will be missed by all who had the chance to know and love him.Funeral service 11 AM Friday, October 7 at ROSELAWN CEMETERY CHAPEL, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ Co. Rd B. and on Friday from 10 – 11 AM at Roselawn Cemetery Chapel.
