Ron, 91, was called home to his Creator to gather once again with his loved ones who preceded him in death including his parents, Lydia and Harry Kline, his wife Rita, his son David, and his granddaughter Jayden. He died as he lived his long life – with grace, humility, and acceptance. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Love and faith defined Ron.
The arc of Ron’s life was simply love. He relished his roles as husband, provider, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His focus was always the care and wellbeing of others. He served those around him with genuine loving kindness in so many ways and needed so little in return.
Ron’s faith provided him with a solid foundation which anchored and guided him through the many peaks and occasional valleys of life. Ron’s spiritual superpower was his ability to handle and accept reality, however it unfolded. He was unflappable. He exuded equanimity.
And he played hard. Ron was a lifelong lover of fishing. He played cards with keen clarity until hours before his death. He golfed well into his 80’s, bowled twice a week until he was nearly 92 with his older brother George, and delighted so many loved ones and friends by gifting them with his handmade crafts.
Ron was born in 1933 and had four brothers. He served in the army as a firefighter while stationed in Alaska in 1953-1955. ln 1956 he married Rita Wandrei, the love of his life for 63 years. Ron, our patriarch of love and faith, is survived by 5 of his 6 children and their spouses, Phillip (Christina) Kline, Beth (Curt) Gray, Annette Heutmaker, Renee (Steve) Skradde, Cathy (Scott) Galloway; daughter-in-law Jennifer Kline; his brother George Kline; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. Love and faith are Ron’s legacy, and his love will forever sustain us.
