Ronald "Ron" Eldor Sherbert (born Ronald Boelter), age 77, passed away on January 28. 2025 in Glendale, Arizona.
Ron was born on August 4, 1947 in New London, Wisconsin, and dedicated his life to public service. He served with the St. Paul Police Department for 28 years, retiring in 2009 as a sergeant in the juvenile division. His career was marked by integrity and a deep commitment to justice. He was also a longtime member of the St. Paul Police Band, where he played the trumpet and baritone.
Beyond his profession, Ron found joy in solving crossword puzzles "in ink", playing golf, and had a passion for roller coasters, particularly those at Disney World. He also enjoyed crime and police television shows, reflecting his lifelong dedication to investigative work. He cherished time spent with family and friends, and was an avid supporter of the Minnesota Vikings and Wild, often attending games. He also had a special place in his heart for his pets.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Barbara Sherbert; siblings, James (Cyndi) Sherbert, Marilyn Paul, and Charles (Francine) Sherbert; uncle, Elroy (Diane) Boelter; and his partner, Sylvia McClean. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen Sherbert; mother, Marian Sherbert; father, Eldor Boelter; stepfather, Robert Sherbert; and many other relatives.
A Memorial Gathering for Ron will be held from 2-5 PM Sunday, April 27 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B.
Ron's memory will live on through those who knew him, and the impact he made throughout his life.
