Age 80, of Centerville, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Annabelle; sisters, Jean and Peggy Ann; and daughter, Kristina Mercer. Survived by loving wife, Marlene; son, Ronald (Sherry); daughter, Karyn (Troy) Guthrie; grandchildren, David (Amanda), Ethan Guthrie, Jowe Nelson, Kaylene Zambito, Lisa (Donna) Wilson, Ryan and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Antonio, Brielle Wilson, Dominic, Giovanni, Isaac, Isabella, Jaden Nelson, Joshua Nelson, Markus Fogarty, Noah Chavez, and Sophia; sisters, Carol Lau and Patricia Boo; brothers, Joseph (Nancy) and Michael (Nora); many other family and friends.​Ron was a sports fan, avid golfer, classic car enthusiast and member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association. He was an amazing dancer and voted Johnson High School Class of '59 best dancer. Ron always enjoyed traveling, especially to Maui. For 43 years, he was a loyal and faithful member of Uptown House and, for the past few years, Hugo AA. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, September 23 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Visitation 4-7 PM Wednesday at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME - ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ County Rd B, and at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Thursday. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
