Rosa Leevern Chamblee (Walker)

Rosa came into the world on January 13, 1928, in St. Louis. Known as Rose to her family and friends, she proceeded to be a force to be reckoned with for the next 94 years.

Growing up in Chicago, she met and married the love of her life, Alvin Chamblee, in 1947 before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Rose spent her time working in the government, raising and guiding two children, giving opinions (requested or not) and back pats (always requested) to her grandchildren and wondering why on earth people used the freeway.

Rose was an expert in tactfully avoiding hugs, telling it like it was, and loving those around her fiercely and without shame. 

On April 18, she decided she’d given all the advice she could give and went to reunite with her husband and parents Andrew and Anna. 

Rose left behind many who will miss her deeply, and a macaroni and cheese recipe that is without compare.

Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, April 29 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St at County Road B.  Visitation at the funeral home from 10 AM until time of service. Private interment Roselawn Cemetery.
