Rosemary D. Czech

Rosemary was born in Colchester, East Anglia, England, UK. Her parents served in the Royal Military Services during the war, and she was raised by her grandparents in a seaside town called Walton on the Naze.   She met the love of her life, Earl, at the Boardwalk in Clacton on Sea. He was in the US Air Force, and was on leave. Earl proposed within two weeks, and they were married at the Royal Garrison Chapel in Colchester June 8th, 1957. Less than a year later they were moved to Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA.   After several years, and two children, they were transferred back to England, and had two more children. Another move found them in Germany, where another child blessed the family. A final active-duty station transfer to Biloxi, MS preceded their final move to Minnesota.   While raising 5 children, Rosemary volunteered at churches at or near each of their duty stations, and this continued at their final parish of St. Joseph in Lino Lakes, MN, including singing in the choir and as one of the initial team of lay Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist.   Rosemary also volunteered in the community, as a Girl Scout Leader, Senior Member of the Civil Air Patrol, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary, the latter of which is dedicated to providing aid, comfort and entertainment to hospitalized veterans.   Rosemary worked at the Fair Store in Lexington as a sales clerk, as a manager at Pump and Munch, Tom Thumb, and Oasis stores, as well as a cashier at Cub Foods.   Her life was filled with family, travel, volunteering, cooking, sewing, knitting, planting flowers and reaching out to those in need. She was renowned for her Fish and Chips, Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, and her donuts.   After many years of separation, in 1999 she was reunited with her brother Chris in England. She traveled several times with Earl back to England, as well as to many other countries. On her last trip to England in 2013 with her daughter and son in-law, she fulfilled her wish to enter the water of the English Channel one last time.   Rosemary survived her husband Earl’s passing by 8 years, despite many health challenges. She passed surrounded by her family.  She is survived by children, John, Anna, Donna Majkrzak, Susan Koreltz, and Monica Mitchell; grandchildren, Jeremy, Emily, Natalie, Kimberly, Jennifer and Antonio; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Brittiany, Jade, Roman, Dane and Finn – and many friends and extended family.  She was a special lady, a great mom, and was loved and respected by so many. We will keep her memory in our hearts always. ​A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 9 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1717 Elm Street, Lino Lakes. Visitation will take place at the church from 10-11 AM Friday. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
