Sandra Ann Hanna Larson

Age 80, of Shoreview. 

Sandra “Sandy” Ann Jones was born in 1942, the oldest and only girl of five children, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Hanna and Mel Larson; as well as her brothers, Gary Jones and Ron Jones. 

Sandy lived a long and fulfilling life, caring for and influencing many. She loved to travel and engage with her friends, and she greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a people person who drew energy from social situations. She was also a devout Christian and very active member of the North Heights Lutheran community since 1975, where she enjoyed leading the altar team and participating in the Passion Play.

As a nurse, she worked in the first burn unit at former Ramsey Hospital as well as a number of other hospitals, and eventually became a head nurse, administrator and nurses trainer.

 Survived by children, Scott Linder and Kristin Linder; stepchildren, Jennifer Stavros (Spero/Michael) and Timothy (Keri) Hanna; grandchildren, Kai Linder, Lars Linder, Maja Linder, Nathan and Heather Tollefson, Matt (Michelle), Danielle Alexa and Sam Stavros, Kristen (Ricky) Finkbiner, Katrina Hanna, and Nick (Lindsey) Hanna; many great-grandchildren; and siblings, Greg (Yvonne) Jones and Doug Jones. 

Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 27 at NORTH HEIGHTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2701 N. Rice St., Roseville. Visitation at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 AM Tuesday. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
