Shirley Mary (Jarosch) Taugner was born on February 8, 1935 and left this world peacefully on September 20, 2020 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Shirley was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Theresa (Deutsch) Jarosch and Joseph Jarsoch. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael. Shirley attended St. Bernard’s elementary and secondary schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1953. Shirley loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. She was proud of the fact that she had visited every state in the United States with the exception of Alaska. Shirley started working at Montgomery Wards, and at the age of 19, got a job with Hamm's Brewery. She worked there until shortly after her marriage to Michael. They moved to Maplewood, and started a family. Once her children were in elementary school, Shirley became a volunteer with the BRISK program, helping elementary children with reading skills. As her children grew up and went into high school, Shirley and Mike started doing the craft show circuit. She was an avid and excellent seamstress and made many amazing Barbie clothes, both by hand and by machine. She also enjoyed painting wooden items Michael had cut out for her as well as arranging dried flowers. Shirley and Michael travelled all over Minnesota and Wisconsin attending art fairs and selling their creations. After her beloved husband died, Shirley did a lot of volunteer work with Fairview Community Center and even donated her craft items to Fairview Community Center. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Lynn McNair and grandson James Taugner, both of Charleston, SC and her son, Michael (Lynnette) Taugner and grandchildren Marcus, Tori and Brock of Lino Lakes. She is also survived by her brother, Jerome (Barbara) Jarosch of Florida, niece Marsha (Ray) Fuerst of Stillwater, first cousin James (Sharon) Weid of Florida, and other extended relatives.
