Stephanie Kaye DeBenedet

March 2, 1949 — May 4, 2022

Preceded in death by parents, Rosemary and David Bjorn. Survived by husband, James "Jim" DeBenedet; daughter, Gina (Michael) Mayer; two sisters; one brother; grandchildren, Juliana and James Mayer; and many nieces and nephews. Afflicted, but not dominated by multiple sclerosis. She was loved by all who knew her. She cooked, baked, and was active in community affairs including the League of Women Voters. Stef was generous and kind and always thinking of others. She resolved to be strong and to stay as healthy and beautiful as she was able. She kept her house spotless and met everyone with cheer and a smile. Not one for travel, but got out as often as possible including trips to local museums and places of interest with Jim and her grandkids, Juliana and James, who she loved with all her heart and soul. There will be a simple service by family and friends at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME - ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B. Visitation from 1-2 PM Tuesday. We will plan a celebration of her life later this summer. The place, date and other details TBD. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the MS Society of Minnesota."Now everyone dreams of a love lasting true. But you and I know what this world can do. So let's make our steps clear that the other may see. And I'll wait for you. And if I should fall behind, Wait for me."   Bruce Springsteen - 1992
