Thomas John DeLisle

Age 86, of Shoreview, passed away in his sleep on March 2, 2025. 

Preceded in death by parents, Prosper & Florence DeLisle; and siblings, Bettye Pullman, Audrey DeLisle, Dick DeLisle, Gladys Hall and Jim DeLisle. 

Survived by wife of 65 years, Carol Ann (née Pelzer); sons, Jeffrey T. (Carolyn) DeLisle, Steve M. (Anne Marie) DeLisle, and Joseph C. (Stephanie) DeLisle; grandchildren, Thomas J. (Jennie) DeLisle, Emily (Adam) Zimmerman, Daniel (Alice) DeLisle, Betsy (Matthew) Hartman, Stephen DeLisle, Vanessa (Tony) Petrulo, Amber DeLisle, Mackenzie DeLisle, and Maxx DeLisle; and great grandchildren, Audrey, Dylan, Oliver, Charlotte, Lou, Beau, Madison, Penny, Teddy, Pete, Stella and Sam.

Tom grew up in the city that he loved, St. Paul, and attended Cathedral Grade School, Crosier H.S. and eventually graduated from St. Agnes H.S. where he met the love of his life, Carol. He was a graduate of the University of St. Thomas (Class of 1960). 

Education was a priority throughout his life, and he was a lifelong learner. Following his graduation, he started DeLisle Company Real Estate which continues to this day. Real estate and connecting with people were two of Tom's passions and he continued to build his real estate legacy until after his 86th birthday. He was never afraid to take a risk. 

Tom and Carol went on their first date 70 years ago while they were in high school. Over their marriage they shared many adventures and travels including scuba diving, exploring Europe with their three boys, spending winters in Fort Myers Beach and frequently visiting their beloved New York City. Tom was a dedicated and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. You could often find him at a grandchild’s sporting event or playing checkers with one of his grandchildren. He spent hours each summer in his garden and loved to fish at Tamarack Lake in Northern Minnesota. Tom enjoyed collecting antiques, playing golf and reading about history. He was a man full of faith, love and generosity. 

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Monday, March 10 at the Church of St. Odilia, 3495 N. Victoria St., Shoreview, MN. Visitation at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am Monday. A livestream of the Mass may be viewed using the link below.

Interment Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Odilia School Endowment Fund.
