Thomas William Krieger, known affectionately as Foot, Brow-man, Grand Puba and Kriegs, passed away on August 30, 2024, in White Bear Lake, MN.
Born on February 26, 1950, in St. Paul, MN, Tom led a life marked by dedication to his family and community.
Tom graduated from Washington High School in 1968 and later attended Gustavus Adolphus College, where he earned his degree in 1972. Shortly after, he embarked on a career in transportation and logistics, specializing in sales until his retirement in 2014. His professional life was characterized by a strong work ethic and a knack for building lasting relationships.
Beyond his career, Tom was deeply involved in non-profit leadership, leaving a significant impact on his community. Tom was passionate as the CEO of Teddy Bear Hugs U, an organization dedicated to providing joy and comfort to the patients and families at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. As a board member of the Washington High School Fifty Plus Club, Tom was committed to continuing the fellowship and community of fellow alumni.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; son, Eric (Becky); daughter, Melissa (Josh) Lokken; grandchildren, Claire, Blake, Natalie, Jackson, and Bennett; siblings, Jerome (Linda), Gene (Carole), Sue, Jill and Barb (Jamie) Suciu; nieces, nephews and many, many relatives and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Joan Krieger.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Jimmy's Food and Drink, 1132 East County Road E in Vadnais Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
