Timothy L. Stoffel

February 8, 1950 — March 9, 2020

St. Paul

Age 70 of St. Paul passed away on March 9, 2020.Timothy Lee Stoffel Sr, got the hell out of Dodge on March 9th, 2020 leaving behind a freezer full of Stouffers spaghetti with meat sauce, cupboards filled with random snacks (our condolences to Little Debbie and PepsiCo who will be seeing a significant drop in sales) and closets filled with an enormous collection of t-shirts.Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Leander and Rita Stoffel. He left his house full of crap to his children; Lisa (Jon) Becker, Nick (Autum) Stoffel, Tim Jr (Tara) Stoffel, Mike (Elly) Stoffel; He adored being the Candyman to his grandchildren Brent Montpetit, Trevor Becker, Aiston and Colton DiGeest, Ian, Addison, Silas, Madeline, Elsie, Callee, Mickey and Jane Stoffel; cousin, Dennis Bettendorf and best friend, dog Robert Paul Stoffel. He was happily divorced for 37 years from his dearest friend of 56 years, Marilyn Stoffel Riege. It turns out our dad was eager to escape our plan to have them one day share a nursing home room together.Tim aka “The Old Goat” graduated from Cretin High School in 1968.He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve where he served as a medic and often joked about how he could hold organs in his hands yet not be able to change a poopy diaper; He was a trumpet player for The Los Amigos and Army Drum Corps bands. He enjoyed fishing, movies, As Seen on TV gadgets, vanilla ice cream, 2% milk, Mountain Dew and anything pickled. He was proud to be a local 120 Teamster, St. Paul retired business owner of Little Grocery and Mr. January 1998 Every Day Angel.Goats many friends and family will miss his incredible quick wit, inappropriate jokes, wise ass long winded conversations and generous heart. We are proud of his 12-year sobriety and the braveness he showed during the length of his illness.Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Our Lady of Peace Hospice.ALL PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED SERVICES WILL NOW BE PRIVATE.
