Todd Allan Olson

Todd Allan Olson, age 59, of Lino Lakes, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 11th, 2024, after a tough battle with stage four colon cancer.

Todd met his wife Sherry in the Roseville Community Band. They were married on August 17th, 1991 and together raised three beautiful daughters. Todd was dedicated to his family. They enjoyed camping every summer, attending many family parties & gatherings, going to the Minnesota State Fair, and simply spending time together.

Todd was in check printing for many years until the need for checks declined. He then worked at Kraus Anderson as a courier and eventually got his Class A license and became a truck driver for True North Steel. Even through the long workdays and odd hours, he ensured that he was home each night to be a loving husband and dad. He enjoyed being hands-on in helping his daughters with school projects and supporting them in their activities.

Todd had many interests. He enjoyed airplanes, tinkering in the garage, iron puzzles, and the annual Olson men’s camping trip. He was a loyal Vikings fan (SKOL!), a deer hunter, and an inventor of odd and practical things. When an idea came to mind, it came to life! At Christmas time, it was your lucky day if you could figure out his unique gift “wrapping”! He was quick to think of a comeback and just enjoyed being goofy.

He was a giving of his time and would help others wherever and whenever needed.  He volunteered at church and enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher and served as an usher for many years. He was adamant about being a donor and was able to donate his corneas to the Lions Gift of Sight.

Preceded in death by his father, Milford Olson and sister, Lynn Schilla.

Survived by Sherry, his wife of 33 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah Olson, Sarah (Eric) Thorsten, Danelle (Tyler) Oenes; granddaughter, Addilynn Thorsten; mother, Joyce Olson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott Olson, Mark (Andrea) Olson, Kevin (Michelle) Olson; brother-in-law, Skip Schilla; seven nephews; one niece; and other extended family and friends.
