Tom W. Turch, age 44 of North Branch, formerly of Roseville, passed away on August 28, 2021 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Preceded in death by father, Bill Turch. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Tammy (née Becht); mother, Mickey; sister, Tara (Ken Gangl); brother-in-law, David Becht (Dawn Straka); also by innumerable family and friends. It’s an understatement to say that Tom was an enthusiast; he went big in everything he did. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to ride his side-by-side and play pull tabs. Just this year, he cultivated a prolific backyard vegetable garden, and in the past, he snowmobiled and hunted geese, ducks, and pheasants. He always had the best, newest, and most gear, but it was never about how he spent his time and money – it was always about with whom he did. Tom’s favorite times were spent with friends, family, and co-workers, fishing on Mille Lacs and Lake of the Woods, vacationing at Melgeorge’s, hunting in Herman, and being with friends in Tomahawk. He never hesitated to share his bounty, his knowledge, or the weather report with the people he loved.Tom’s love of people further manifested itself in countless gatherings over the years. Everyone was not only welcome, but everyone was expected to attend, and you would hear about it if you didn't. His warm spirit and kind soul made everyone feel at home, and he will always be remembered for bringing people together.Tom was a remarkable husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and co-worker. His enthusiasm was contagious, his quirks endearing, and his passion for life enviable. He brought out the best in others and will be missed beyond measure.
