Passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at the age of 94.
Reunited in death with the love of his life, RoseMarie (“Babe”).
Vern was a veteran of the United States Army, serving our country overseas, and a proud member of the Midway Men's Club. After retiring from Whirlpool, Vern and Rose relocated to Mora where they relished in lake life and being grandparents. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, being an avid sports fan, and his sharp wit.
Vern is survived by daughters, Carolyn Warner and Lori (Arthur) Gertken; grandchildren, Drew (Jackie) Warner, Brooke (Loren) Cunningham, Layne (Ryan) Cairo, Alexis (Yasir) Burney, Roger (Victoria) Meade, Jennifer Gertken; many beloved great grandchildren and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Sr. and Catherine, and brothers, Anthony Jr. and Richard.
Memorial service 11:00 AM Friday, February 14 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd. B. Visitation at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday.
Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
