Virginia R. Kuck (née Lee)

Age 93, of Roseville, passed away on January 29, 2025.

Preceded in death by husband, Fred "Fritz"; and siblings, Charlotte Moos, Fred Nelson, Phyllis Fyler & Muriel Racutt. 

Survived by daughters, Kris & Judy; Dave Nellessen; and family & friends. 

Virginia ("Ginna" / "Boots") was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Robert and Mattie Lee, the youngest of five children.  She grew up in South Minneapolis, and graduated from Vocational High School in 1949 with a vocational certificate in multilith.

Her first job after high school was working in the in-service print shop at Land O'Lakes Creameries in Minneapolis. It was there that she met her husband, Fred.  They were married on July 9, 1960, and lived on Lake Owasso in Shoreview, Minnesota. After their daughter, Kris, was born they moved across the lake to Farrington Court in Roseville, where she resided for the rest of her life. Their daughter, Judy, was born shortly after moving to Roseville.

They spent many happy years together both at their home and at their cabins until Fred passed away in 1981.

After her daughters were in school, she worked for Farwell, Ozmun, Kirk & Co, and eventually retired from Lawson Software when she was 63 years old.

Virginia was active and athletic all of her life, participating in organized sports and musical groups when she was young. She had a lifelong love of horses, and for many years owned, rode and showed horses alone and as part of a tandem bareback team and a drill team. In later years she enjoyed hiking with her daughters and dog, Shelby, in city and state parks throughout the state.

Virginia had a big love of family, and spent many happy times with her sisters, singing and just spending time together.  She spent many years visiting back and forth with a cousin who lived in Oregon, and had decades long friendships with people she loved dearly and thought of like family.

She will be dearly missed by both of her daughters.

Funeral service 11:00 am Friday, February 7 at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 3115 N. Victoria St., Roseville. Visitation at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am Friday. 

Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
