Walter J. "Goldie" Golden

Of Shoreview MN; formerly of Springbrook WI.

Departed peacefully on September 17, 2021.  

Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence & Helen (Lindenfelser) Golden; and brother, Allen R. Golden.  

Survived by wife, Maria Marinkov Golden; children, Barb Golden White, Allen Robert Golden, Nicholas (Julie) Golden, Jessica (Eric) Antonson; grandchildren, Samantha White, Jackson, Hunter and Wyatt Golden, Eric “E.J” and Chloe Antonson; sister-in-law, Georgia Marinkov Omorean; brothers-in-law, John Marinkov and John Omorean; special friends, Tim and Judy McNitt, Sue Tako, Jocelyn Collette; many cousins and other relatives and friends.  

Wally’s life was always an adventure. He enjoyed many years of riding his Harleys. He traveled to many states, fishing and hunting with his sons and wife & best friend Maria.  

He loved his family home in Wisconsin, much of which was built by Wally and sons and wife. The wooded homeplace was his safe, peaceful place where he spent time watching bears, deer and other wildlife with his companions, Gatsby & Drake. His grandchildren were his greatest joy and blessing, whose names brought a smile to his face. ​

All of us will miss him tremendously. “Goodbye Country Bumpkin” – M.

Funeral service 11:00 AM Monday, September 27 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ County Rd B.​Visitation from 2-6 PM Sunday and from 10-11 AM Monday.​

Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
