Age 77, of St. Paul
Passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023 – National Vietnam Veterans Day – surrounded by loved ones.
Bill grew up in St. Paul, and attended Washington High School. After returning from Vietnam, his path led him to barber school on Rice Street. The rest is history – he was a barber in downtown St. Paul for 50+ years.
He enjoyed golf and bocce ball, old car shows, trips to Vegas, and spending time on the lake. Anything that meant time with his family brought him joy.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janelle Ficocello (née Anderson); son, Matt (Jackie) Ficocello; daughter, Gina (Jake) Severson; grandchildren, David, Emmett, Lucille, and Jasper; sister, Cindy (Ken) Hawkins; brother, George Ficocello; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Elijah; parents, Mathew and Lucille Ficocello; brothers, Jerry, Ricky, and Pat Ficocello; and sisters-in-law, Jeannie and Dorthy Ficocello.
A celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Sunday, April 16 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the North St. Paul American Legion Post #39, 2678 7th Ave E, North St. Paul.
The family extends their gratitude to the immensely caring staff in the ICU at the VA Medical Center.
