Age 51 of Shoreview, tragically passed away on August 14, 2018 while scuba diving.   Survived by loving wife, Stephanie; beautiful children, Zachary, Katherine, and Xavier; supportive mother, Sarah Cousins; beloved in-laws, nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.   Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, August 21 at PROGRESSIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1505 Burns Ave., St. Paul.  Visitation 4-7 PM Monday at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-LINO LAKES, 7050 Lake Dr. (Cty Hwy 23) and from 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church.   In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. William had a zest for life, music, traveling, learning and exploring the world.  Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 29, 1967, raised and educated in New York.  Moved to Minnesota to pursue his love of politics, but found his true calling in the Law.  Attended William Mitchell Law School and became a lawyer where he specialized in Elder Care and Vulnerable Adult Law.  Married and had two children, Zachary and Katherine.  Divorced and met the true love of his life, Stephanie Wilson.  They were married October 18, 2008.  Xavier entered their life on August 13, 2016.  William practiced daily acts of kindness.  He was happiest when all three of his children were with him.  He embraced other cultures, ethnic groups and foods.  When he traveled, he wanted to embrace the local culture. He loved football and college basketball.  Family time often centered around good natured picking sports team rankings and competing with each other.  He loved his extended family.  His “outlaws” Scot and Becky Wilson and their three children, Abby, Tyler and Jayden.  Many wonderful times were had when the two families enjoyed each others company.  He loved his in-laws, Cathy and Mike, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.  He was a hard worker, determined to make his families lives the best they could be.  He loved his mother Sarah and treated her like a queen.  William was Stephanie’s soul mate, inspiration, rock, companion and the love of her life.  He was taken too soon and will be forever missed.  His memories will be cherished and enjoyed.
